Garlic, onion and spicy Italian sausage give this Slow Cooker Lasagna Soup incredible flavor!

Using my slow cooker makes me happy. I just toss in a few main ingredients along with some amazing seasonings, and a few hours later I’ve got a fabulous tasting meal that my whole family will enjoy. Plus, using a slow cooker means I have time for other things.

This year, I’ve teamed up with 11 other amazing ladies to bring you 12 Bloggers. Each month, on the 12th, we will all have a fabulous recipe for you, all of which have 12 ingredients or less. This month, we’ve all made a great tasting slow cooker soup.

Since my family, {okay, mainly me}, loves Italian food, I decided a great slow cooker lasagna soup would be perfect. I seasoned the tomato sauce base much the same way I do the sauce I use for lasagna, and the spicy sausage only adds to the incredible flavor. It also gives the soup a nice little ‘bite’.

With a little extra effort, like browning the meat before you put it in the slow cooker, is well worth the few extra minutes for the great tasting results this soup yields. Even my pickiest eater loved it, and that’s saying quite a bit.

This soup sounds so good. I have been making a lot of freezer slow cooker meals and I might add this one to the mix.

I hate to admit this …. but real lasagna is SOOOOO much work. I like the idea of a slow cooker soup with all of the flavor of a dish we love soooo much! 🙂 Less work for me! Ha! I can’t wait to try this, Rachel!
